چکیده

A two-warehouse inventory model with deteriorating items and rework process time varying demand rate is presented. The Last-In-First-Out (LIFO) First-In-First-Out (FIFO) policies are considered the assumption that holding cost higher in rented warehouse (RW) compared to owned (OW). aim of proposed determine optimum values a production cycle will minimise total relevant cost, TRC*. We have utilised Microsoft Excel Solver as solution tool, which generalised reduced gradient (GRG Nonlinear) method has been chosen solving method. result further verified using built-in function Mathematica software. observed given same changes made parameters both LIFO FIFO systems, lower TRC* obtained system. This shall mean system less expensive than system, provided RW OW. flow suggests stored last be dispatched first. an important factor for manufacturers ensuring distributed at optimal freshness.

Two-Warehouse Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items with Time-Dependent Demand and Partial Backlogging Under Inflation

This paper deals with a two-warehouse inventory model for deteriorating items with time dependent demand and partial backlogging under inflation. It is assumed that deterioration of items follows two-parameter Weibull distribution and demand rate varies exponentially with time. Shortages are allowed and partial backlogging depends on waiting time of next replenishment. A numerical example is pr...

A Two-warehouse Inventory Model with Linearly Time Varying Demand under Permissible Delay in Payments

As a matter of fact, the capacity of any warehouse is limited, so a firm has to hire a warehouse called rented warehouse (RW) for storing the excess units over the fixed capacity W (say) of the own warehouse (OW). Practically the RW is assumed to offer better storing facilities than the OW, which results in a lower rate of deterioration and is supposed to charge higher holding cost than the OW....

A Two-warehouse Inventory Model for Deteriorating Items with Permissible Delay under Exponentially Increasing Demand

In this study, a two-warehouse inventory model with exponentially increasing trend in demand involving different deterioration rates under permissible delay in payment has been studied. Here the scheduling period is assumed to be a variable. The objective of this study is to obtain the condition when to rent a warehouse and the retailer's optimal replenishment policy that minimizes the total re...

An inventory model for deteriorating items with time-dependent demand and time-varying holding cost under partial backlogging

In this paper, we considered a deterministic inventory model with time-dependent demand and time-varying holding cost where deterioration is time proportional. The model considered here allows for shortages, and the demand is partially backlogged. The model is solved analytically by minimizing the total inventory cost. The result is illustrated with numerical example for the model. The model ca...

Introducing a New Formulation for the Warehouse Inventory Management Systems: with Two Stochastic Demand Patterns

This paper presents a new formulation for warehouse inventory management in a stochastic situation. The primary source of this formulation is derived from FP model, which has been proposed by Fletcher and Ponnambalam for reservoir management. The new proposed mathematical model is based on the first and the second moments of storage as a stochastic variable. Using this model, the expected value...
